The 19th World Congress of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM), held in conjunction with the 9th Congress of the Jordanian Society of Physical Medicine, Arthritis & Rehabilitation and 10th Pan-Arab Congress in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is calling for abstract and workshop submissions for possible inclusion in the 2025 program. 

Before submitting your abstract and/or workshop submission, ensure you read the below guidelines carefully. All information that you require is included below.

General Submission Guidelines

Outlined below are the general submission guidelines:

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English

  • Abstracts must be submitted via the online submission portal only. Abstracts submitted via email will not be accepted

  • Abstracts must be original and must not have been published or presented at any other meeting before the ISPRM 2025 Congress.

  • A confirmation email will be sent to you when your submission has been received

  • There are no limits on the number of submissions that can be submitted, however, each individual can only present a maximum of two presentations (either Oral or Poster presentation) and must be the author or one of the co-authors of the presentation

  • The Congress Scientific Committee will determine whether abstracts will be accepted based on a blind review. 

  • Please ensure that all information is accurate, no edits are permitted after submission

  • The Congress Scientific Committee reserves the right to edit all submissions for grammar, spelling, abstract theme, and presentation type

  • Conflicts of interest/disclosure: work submitted for presentation must include an acknowledgment of funding sources of commercial nature and/or consulting or holding of significant equity in a company that could be affected by the results of the study

  • Accepted submissions will be published in the Journal of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (JISPRM)

  • Presenting authors must be registered participants of the Congress. Only two (2) submissions of authors who have paid their registration fees will be accepted, scheduled and included for publication.

  • The ISPRM 2025 Scientific and Organizing Committees will review all proposals after the deadline.

  • Submission of a proposal does NOT guarantee acceptance.

  • The Committees will consider factors such as timeliness of the subject matter, overlap with other sessions, and pertinence.

  • Applicants may submit more than one proposal.

  • The Congress Committees reserve the right to recommend changes to submissions.

  • The Congress Committees do not peer-review research or publications.

  • Please note that all speakers and chairs of Scientific Sessions and Workshops that are proposed and accepted through this submission system are responsible for covering the costs of their own accommodation, and travel.

Submission Guidelines

​The below information is for abstract submissions:

  • The official abstract template should be used

  • Abstract title is to be no longer than 25 words

  • Abstract content is to be no longer than 350 words (excluding headings, tables, diagrams (legend text is included in word count), references, and disclosures)

  • References excluded from the overall word limit

  • You can include tables in your submission subject to the below parameters:

    • A maximum of 2 black and white figures or tables (up to 10 rows x 10 columns) can be included per abstract

  • Place abbreviations in parentheses after the full word appears the first time, except for the common/standard abbreviations

  • Use generic names of drugs

  • Express numbers are numerals

  • Abstract content should include: background/aims, methods, results, conclusions

  • References are optional, with a maximum of 3 – with the following (abbreviated) style

Requirements for proposals

The Scientific Committee will review all proposals after the deadline, December 15, 2024.

Proposals will be reviewed using the following criteria:

 

  • Inclusion of Best Practice Education Characteristics

  • Clear identification of learning outcomes derived from established needs

  • Timeliness and broad interest to any/all of the three primary constituent audiences: physiatrists, researchers, and residents/fellows/ medical students

  • Value as core or standard knowledge/ practice in physiatry and/or its subspecialties

  • Inclusion of pedagogical practices and audience engagement

  • Accuracy of proposed title in representing the content being offered

  • Match between experience level of the suggested audience and the depth and/or complexity of the content being proposed

  • As appropriate, the attempt to include diverse faculty as proposed presenters

  • Demonstration of scientific rigor, objectivity, and freedom of commercial bias for or against any product

  • Speaking/ presentation experience of the proposed faculty

DEADLINES:

 

  • All submissions must be received via online submission using our website before 23:59 Jordan Time (GMT+3, UTC+3) on December 15, 2024

  • All submitters will receive an electronic notification indicating acceptance or rejection of the submitted abstract on January 15, 2025.

REMARKS:

 

  • Proposals must be submitted via the website only. Only proposals submitted via the online submission form will be sent to the Review Committee for review. Proposals submitted by fax, chat or e-mail will not be accepted.

  • Please do not submit multiple copies of the same proposal

  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to edit all submitted proposal for grammar and spelling

  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Proposals submitted for presentation must include an acknowledgment of funding sources of a commercial nature and/or consulting or holding of significant equity in a company

  • Sessions that include speakers who are owners/employees of an entity of defined commercial interests cannot be permitted to plan or present Continuing Medical Education content.
